Presence in the Strait
Accidental. One bird at Gibraltar on 16.03.91, possibly having arrived on warships from the Gulf, as it only inhabits the Red Sea and Persian Gulf, where it also arrived on board ships from tropical Asia.
Identification
Larger and slimmer than a Jackdaw, with black forehead and throat, and dark iris.
