Cookie policy

Bioestrecho uses no tracking cookies. What is stored in the browser and why.

Natural Earth cartography, public domain
No tracking cookies
Bioestrecho sets no analytics, advertising or social-media cookies and loads no third-party trackers. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Local storage
The portal keeps two things in your browser's local storage, and only if you switch them on: the list of species and places you mark as seen ("My list") and the field-mode preference. These are technical data needed to provide the feature you asked for; they never leave the browser and you can delete them at any time from the portal or your browser settings.
Technical cookies
The server may use a strictly necessary cookie for the site to work (for instance, to remember the language or keep a session once the sightings service exists). Under article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI it requires no consent.
Changes
Should the portal add any service that uses non-essential cookies, this page will be updated and consent requested before they are set.
