Abundant resident of forests.

Identification

Very small, with green back, dark wings with yellowish-green feather edges and pale underparts. Thin bill and brownish legs. White supercilium, bordered by black. Bright mostly orange crown in males, yellow in females. In winter form mixed feeding flocks.

Movements

Latitudinal and altitudinal movements with peaks in 2nd hf. February and 2nd hf. October.
