Accidental. One bird on 6&10.10.98 on Los Lances beach.

Identification

In winter plumage, similar to a Ruff, but smaller and sandy-buff. Pale eye-ring, spotted sides to breast, shorter bill and mustard-coloured legs. Lacks wing bar and pale rump in flight and legs do not extend beyond tail. Originates from the Tundra in Eastern Siberia and North America.
