Common migrant.

Identification

Male’s breeding plumage is very striking with orangered breast, grey upperparts, black face and throat with white forehead. More buffish plumage in winter. Females and juveniles have grey-brown underparts, paler than Black Redstart.

Movements

Peaks in 2nd hf. April and 1st hf. October.
