Common summer visitor to woodlands.

Identification

Greyish-brown upperparts and dull brown streaked underparts. Large head with flat forehead and bristly crown, both finely streaked. Black legs with short tarsus. Juveniles are spotted buff-white.

Movements

Peaks in 1st hf. May and 1st hf. September.
