Accidental. One bird at Sierra de Algarrobo (Algeciras) on 1.10.73 and another (juvenile or female) at Gibraltar from 15 to 17.11.00.

Identification

Adult males are distinctive. Females and juveniles lack orange-red throat with a brown, not grey, head. Prominent white bases to outer tail feathers and pale eye-ring. They breed in Central and Eastern Europe. Muscicapidae juv. ad. Papamoscas Gris Papamoscas Cerrojillo Papamoscas Papirrojo
