Accidental. Two records of juveniles birds: at Marismas del Palmones on 8.11.86 and at Gibraltar on 10.10.99.

Identification

Adult males are unmistakable in summer plumage. In winter lose most of their red tones and are female-like, greyish-brown with darker streaking. Juveniles are similar to females but with a more olive-brown colouration with two distinct buffwhite wing-bars. They breed in Central and East of Europe. Fringillidae Piquituerto Común ad. juv.
