Rare resident near the mouth of the River Guadiaro, seen in the area since 1982.
Identification
Small, finely barred body, coral red bill and eye stripe. Blackish-brown tail and black vent. Juveniles are like adults but with a brownish-black bill. They originate from Africa, from Cameroon to the extreme South of the Continent.
