Abundant resident in wooded areas.

Identification

Small, brown and white, with a long, decurved bill. Brown above, mottled pale buff, cryptic plumage, and below, sullied pale grey. Adapted to climbing trunks, with strong claws and long tail with stiff Sittidae Trepador Azul Trichodromadidae Treparriscos Certhiidae Agateador Común feathers that are used as a support. Moves through woodland flying from one tree to another in short flights heading for the lower part of the trunk, always climbing upwards.

Déplacements

Sedentary with some local dispersal, especially in October.
