Abundant resident in forests.

Identification

The largest of the Paridae. Yellow underparts with black band from throat to belly, wider on males than on females. Green back and blue-grey wings, tail and legs. In flight, white wingbar and tail edges, also white outer tail feathers. Black crown, nape and collar.

Déplacements

Sedentary with altitudinal movements to lowland forests and to more suburban areas from August to April, with movement peaks in March and October. REMIZIDAE
