Accidental. Only two records: one bird caught in La Janda on 8.01.1876 and three birds in the River Guadiaro estuary during the 2nd hf. November in 1985 together with a Greylag Goose.

Identification

Smaller than the Greylag Goose. Adults have base of bill surrounded by white and belly barred and blotched with black. They breed on the Arctic tundra and Greenland.
